How do I get started in archery as a beginner?
Start with a lesson, so a coach can teach you the basics. Pick your city above, then contact a range on the list and ask when its next class starts.

You can wait. When you are ready to buy one, ask your coach which bow fits your size and the way you want to shoot.
How much does it cost to get started?
Ask the club. The price is up to each one, so find out what it charges and whether gear is part of it before you book.
How long does it take to get good?
Nobody can give you an honest number for that, but you can track it yourself. Log your scores on Archery Ranges Canada and you will earn an ARC Rating, where lower is better and 0 is perfect, so you will watch it drop as you improve.
